On the Doorstep

There are few care homes who can offer a location which is central to such a range of options on our doorstep. Visitor parking at the home is free and offers a base for friends and relatives to use all that Ashburton has to offer. Obviously, there are a number of places to eat out including public houses, restaurants, cafes and even a wine bar.

Traditionally, Ashburton has always had a strong presence of antique shops and over the years many shops selling gifts and crafts have opened up to enhance what is offered to locals and visitors alike. More recently the town has become a Mecca for ‘foodies’ so there are tonnes of things to do. Many relatives couple a visit to the home with a visit to the town.

Ashburton is the biggest town in the National Park and there are lots of beauty spots within a ten minute (ish) drive including the iconic Haytor Rocks, Spitchwick, Hound Tor, Widecombe and Dartmeet.
